I suggest our mates here who had errors updating their phone to compare their logs, that way we could understand what those files are and what they do.
@Cyber: I never had a bluetooth error or phone restart due to bluetooth, but I got the MS DUO crap. Who updated the phone via service centers haven't got a single issue (with R1N and R1AA), is it right? So: - is SE trying to get us all to a service center?
- or is SE unable to fix its online update service?
What do you thing guys?
P.S. Still no update for EUROPE_5.
Ive allways updated through SEUS, never at a service centre, and I have never had any problems with mine, neither BT problems, chrashing, MS duo file corruption or anything. And I never had problems updating through SEUS either. Certainly SE are not trying to force people to go to a service centre, naturally it would be much easier and more economical for them if everyone just used SEUS, thats why its there. Apparently there are some problems this time with communication errors, for whatever reason that may be, its not because they want to force you to a service centre.
I havent tried updating this time yet, because I need my phone and dont want to experiment. So ill just wait untill someone post theyve done a succesfull update with no communication errors, or untill the firmware is available on davinci so I can fix it myself if SEUS fails.
I advice others to have patience and wait also. Atleast untill all firmwares have been uploaded to SEUS and things have settled down. Im not saying this is what causes the problem, but having everyone constantly trying to update while the server is being updated is never a good idea.

As soon as someone manages to update without the communication error, please make a post.

@cybervistor
hope you kept the old firmware files from your software-data folder in SEUS.

@numb: Lucky you or stupid us

Anyway, obviously (not that much I guess now) I was kidding about the service center stuff.
Have a nice day,

F**k you SE!!!
I had always praised SE phones(AND previously Ericsson phones).
right now it seems as if SE is not gonna fix the problem.
I once had this nightmare of upgrading F/W (from R1L to R1N) about a month ago and right now it seems as if SE is paying the least attention to their after sale services and they are rather only thinking about making new really nice hardwares with worst softwares.
Here in Iran there is no SE service center ,so you should always do F/W updates at ur own risk.
Last time i spend a week with a 400$ half operational camera-less phone which really made me mad.
I'm not going to experience it anymore;SO listen to me SE, do not play with your good reputation AND release a bug free F/W as soon as poss.

Yes! Det vill jag också veta!! = That i want to know to!
But i read somewhere that firmware for W800i won´t be out yet. Some said next week another guy said a couple of weeks. Let´s hope that that means SE is putting some effort to make the W800i firmware more bugfree and have fixes for camera, mp3-player and more...not just the file transfer bug!

Well it seems that SE website is totally down. At least the Belgium site. Takes loads to charge the first page and the update FW page is down.
Wait and see...
