People - please don't get exited if some 'supplier' removes the 'comming soon' from there site ! Usually it is a good sign, but with the P990i is another story. (not usual). Removing of ' comming soon' can also mean - it will be not coming soon anymore, or in plain english - IT WILL BE LATE - !

From Mobil.se (excerpt with the inportant stuff):

Delivery report about Sonyericsson P990
2006-08-01 15:04

Per Alksten from Sony Ericsson, how is it going with the deliveries of the P990?
- The phone is currently being produced, and should be in stores in the upcomming weeks.

Any exact dates for when it will be available can't be found, but according to Per Alksten it should be available soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Seems to be delayed until late August from that (we are in the beginning of August, so a couple of weeks would be late August )

I briefly had a vodafone P910 but sent it back.

basically, I simply don't want other people to make assumptions about how I am going to use my device. Also I don't just use vodafone's service, also I want to be able to update my phone if/when firmware updates become available should I have some issue that is resolved by that update. I don't want to have to wait for the branded update and I don't want to be forced to use 3rd party debranding/updating services.

basically I want my phones to be the way they were generically designed and I'm happy to pay more for that

OK I can understand that thanks!
