Yes its going to be sold in october in uk, but from my guess, phones are usually sold later in uk, so if your in other place, that depends.

If it is sold in October in UK, it should be here in Macedonia around Janyary... I guess after the winter holidays.. As always new models of mobile phones arrive those days.

has anyone from the US or Canada pre-order the Xperia from either expansys.com or play.com or other european sites yet?
I want to get the X1i but i'm afraid of buying it from outside of the States.
I was originally planned on buying the X1a from Sony Style but all this news of delaying the X1a until january really bothered me.
So, now, i'm thinking of pre-ordering it online but i'm not sure if it's okay.
Can y'all give me some opinions on when y'all bought your handsets from Europe?

on the official sony site it says out october 8th, and on play.com october 10th... maybe they don't know when its coming out...

However, I so want this to be released in October. This is the phone i want to own next, but, i will settle for a touch pro, if anything does go wrong.

In the U.S. there is an online store that has the X1 set for release on Oct. 23, 2008 for an unbranded/unlocked version of the phone.
They have been reliable for their release dates on their phones so I'm pretty confident they will get the phone on the date showing.

guys if go back in the previous pages you will see a post for me which ignored and no one believe me when i say that a friend of me in SE told me that the X1i well be delayed !!! and i asked what do you think guys and no one is here like im posting in my own thread. finally im right the X1i will be delayed tell the end of the year as SE claimed ( the phone needs some improvments to takeplace between its competitors) dot !!! :@ i'll go for the E90 to be my first nokia phone !!!

Well mclaren, i dont know what to consider, The se site, which has preponed its date from january to october, or to consider your friend who says its delayed to year end. Btw, year end also comes in 2nd half, so in no way you can say that's a delay.
Anyways, e90's a nice phone as well. Buy what you like.

I suggest you guys to wait until phone is matured - probably after at least two firmware upgrades.
I was also considering this phone but as it is SE phone only beacuse it will have SE logo I am not interested any more, main reason - accessoreis are not compatible with my current SE phones.
