By early '06 we're sure to see plummeting prices once the "first on the block" syndrome has passed. Considering what a new SE cost a few months ago and what it costs now, the pattern becomes clear... And don't forget Voda is pushing branded handsets so the pressure's no MTN and Cell Sheep to match Voda's offerings.

@Kryptik Buddy,a few posts back you said something about (re)installing Agile Messenger on your 6600 and even gave your nick names, but I never get you online ! Are you not able to connect or are still using the 33xx or what ? Agile costs me less then 10cent a day on idle so that should'nt be a problem :-) You can leave it always 'on' running in the background ! Over time you will make lots of buddies all over the world with minimal effort.I have well over 100 now with 10-30 online at any none time. Also there is a nice irc program for your S60 cell which enables you to send/exchange any file/pic/sound ! Wirc is more expensive on idle the agile thou (if you call R1.50/day expensive) you can connect to any of the major servers and join every discution group one can think of.And because you are connected from a cell you don't need to worry about hackers :-) they still try but can't understand what the hell is going on ;-) I join now and then some of their groups just to have a laugh.

Huh,now listen to this.Rumor goes around,Nokia wants to bring out a successor to the venerabale 7650 ! :-)) There is talking about a new 'updated' design, same sliding style, wifi (yeah)/bluetooth (no infrared anymore),a 3mp autofocus cam -not really that important (to me),smaller overal (I hope not to small-I like nicely spaced buttons),a upgraded S60 OS (off course backwards compatible) 256K screen versus 4K in the 7650,more RAM/ROM/EEPROM,there is also talk about a 8 or 16GB HD which I very much doubt, bucket loads of ROM software but NO wimax :-( It also has a name (N80) and on the net you can see a few pics (some of them at least are clearly a hoax so I won't post them) It looks like Nokia has finally realised the wide acceptance and usefulness of the S60 OS, and now they are putting the 'pedal to the metal' They should be carefull thou because the chinese are making a killing with the P930 (local S60 Cell made by the mighty chinese LENOVO company).Greetings from Jeffrey's Bay,Mario

@Mario, i like the idea of a new model, particularly one with an improved camera, even though i rarely use that particular function myself.

Agile Messenger is still free for those of us in Nigeria. At least up till last week before I sold off my 9500.

@AYA, yep, i just downloaded the latest version and it's brilliant!! Hopefully it'll stay free in perpetuity, although if a reasonable once-off fee is charged i wouldn't mind paying it.

@kryptic: Glad to know you are enjoying it. Subscribers on certain networks around the world are already being billed for the use. I wonder how soon it will be our turn in this part of the world.

With any luck not too soon, one hopes... It's sometimes advantageous to be part of "The Forgotten Continent" as some call it.
