I don't think a 5800 rival would be the Idou, it would be overpriced again so an obvious no-no in comparing to the 5800...

wouldn't this be against the EU philosophy - making phones from the best of both worlds (cybershot + walkman). highlighting one brand again would be contra productive

Well, Idou has no 3.5mm jack so if the Walkman 'only' has an 8MP camera, you get the same effect. I wouldn't be too concerned with the EU thing, I doubt you will get a new range so Idou will probobly be a Cybershot anyhow.
