You desperately want to believe, thatīs the problem but looking back at the last years thereīs nothing to believe, nothing to hope for.
A dying company where one wrong decision leads to another wrong decision. Even the so hoped for change with a new CEO hasnīt turned out to be good. Now they have nothing to announce and when they eventually do (according to Rog in January), itīs going to be gadgets that are one year behind their competitors!!!
Really sad but even sadder is the desperation of the fans here! That should make SOny/// realize what a great fan base they are losing!!
Can you believe the President of Sony Ericsson ?

Eldar has been a warner and a critic and the decline of Sony/// proves him right and this decline is a given fact that even the most faithful fans here wonīt be able to deny!
I mean, even I keep on returning here to read and hope that some great news might be revealed but.....they keep on getting worse...

Let's stop the silliness, of course SE will have a real flagship phone in 2011, they always have 1 or 2 come out each year. We know the PSP phone is in advanced development, it will drop at some point in 2011. We also know that SE plans on releasing a top spec Android phone next year per the SE president. When they announced the X10 the mini, mini pro and x8 came out of the blue. SE is profitable again, they killed the x10 life cycle by not realizing what a stupid number moniker (1.6 as opposed to 2.1) would do to it press wise. Trust me, they have learned big time, I can tell simply by the fact that they have announced multi-touch for the x10 and I expect an announcement on 2.2 or 2.3 coming with the next UXP (they can't handle another avalanche of criticism about their flagship phone while they try to garner positive press for the one coming out). Anzu is nothing more then a placeholder the way the k810i was after the k800i was out for a bit.

Maybe one of your godawesome sources forgot to pass you the memo where SE said on record that they are not chasing marketshare anymore. Still don't see what makes Russia special (When it comes to smartphones).
-It's not a first world economy that has a lot of early adopters with disposable income.
- It's not at the bleeding edge of technology like some Asian countries and of late; US.
- It's not the home of any manufacturer thereby fueling nationalistic sentiments into sales.
- Prices there (By which you "decide" the fate of many a handset) have no relevance to the rest of the world.

There is massive growth in smartphones atm. The ratio of SE's smartphones to feature phones has increased exponentially and the fact that they are making a profit means they are on the right track, although I don't think they themselves expected to get back to profitability until Q4.
Looking at the code names for the rumoured phones it strikes me that they are to bulk our their portfolio with a host of Android phones to tap into this amazing growth - a very smart move - and as long as they keep the hardware quality up and keep up to date with STABLE versions of Android then they can't really go wrong.
