@chili, re:
"Anyway, I eventually realized that we can actually turn the K7's camera's inherent weaknesses into advantages. Just a matter of not expecting too much. "
Right on. I enventually came to that same conclusion. I now have over 1300 photos taken with the K700!!
Love ur pics man, especially the universe and sapling furniture - very esoteric dude!
I've got some improvised K700i macro and zoom photos over at
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=95313# for anyone interested in what better optics can do for ur K700's (or any digital camera for that matter)
Here's a sample:

@max_wedge - Thanks again on behalf of K700i camera users, especially the more adventurous ones! Glad you like the stuff i posted here. Some of them have more universal appeal than the others, and for the sapling one i'm trying to imagine what impact it would have on me and other Filipinos if, say, an elderly lady from Ireland and her furniture were shot instead. :-) I'm fascinated with taking unposed shots of people, freezing those moments of truth.

I like that sort of photo too, it's the sort of thing photographers won't necessarily consider a "good photo", but those photos have an integrity with the moment that more traditional photoraphy often fails to catch. And having a cam in your phone means being able to catch those moments that you just can't plan for.
Liking the view from a tractor, just pull the trusty K700i off my belt and walluh:
a passing vintage car. Driving, u do the best u can. this is what makes the images great, even though they are unconventional:
and out riding:
Recently it hailed in brisbane the heaviest on record. It created a ice wonderland. I stopped in the middle to take pics and bobsled with locals! Without my K I would have missed the opportunity of a lifetime.
Ice cat made by local teen Tiffany, who also organised cardboard for us to tobogan with:
Ice at servo entrance:
Ice on road and footpath:
These aren't the greatest pics (the K700 cam falls apart at night) but they are better than nothing
