guys i recieved the phones,has display issue,can you please confirm with me
on the top screen,at the starting edge i have white single line ,defective screen,is it same as mine

just had an amazing day with my z1...took a couple photos, played around with the effects n settings n wow...this is a real beast of a camera...just compare z1 to pics with my nex 6 and it really does stack up to a really good digicam...check these photos out...guess which one is the nex6 pic...hope u like em...

So today I have been at the docomo shop to see if they have handsets.
They did not, only dummy handsets.
But I found what I wanted: the arrows NX built quality is very bad, finger print magnet cheap plastic: samsunesque.
Also no antena so full seg will work only with a special earphone...
I preffered the previous model: only problem, I want snapdragon 800.
So the main advantage of arrows nx over z1 is the fingerprint reader.
The price should be jpy 20,000 cheaper (see my post in the 2013 rumor thread), but i don't mind too much, i don't change phone often.
For the rest, z1 should be better, so I may still take it.
But I still have a few issues, i want to compare both phones in the shop:
- there are all the talking of screen loterry with Sony, and now the firmware complaints reported by Miki.
- I also found a youtube link that shows the arrows nx has a much better pinch and zoom than the z1... Can post if people are interested.
- i am still trying to figure out what still image stabilisation the two phones have: i know people here have said this is just a ISO increment to have a faster shutter speed, but the leaked docomo brochure stated otherwise, without more details... I guess the best is to try both by shaking it!
One thing is sure:
I will not take the iphone this time, i had a look at ios7 and it is horrible how you plunge every time you open an app.
I am a iphone user and no android fanboy, but this time this will not be iphone, for sure!

I actually don't experience a washout effect. Though I still get slight, and I mean very slight, color shift at extreme angle. The color shift actually happens at much more extreme angle compared to my previous Z1. When I mean I don't experience the washout effect, the text are still sharp and visible! Pictures will come later down the line when I have time, maybe sometime this weekend.

Looks like the build quality of my replacement also seems to be much better than my old Z1. For example, the speaker in the bottom is not as recess and the edges of it is not as sharp, meaning not rough/sharp edge digging into the skin of your finger that is supporting the phone!
Also, I somehow got the Xperia Privilege app to show my offers too!!!!!!
@vike That's definitely not normal, you should just get it exchanged! Seems like you have a pretty nice screen though.
