That C5 Ultra seems like a good alternative for Z Ultra users like me. But I am afraid if I buy the C5U the Z line ultra will be release at the end of the year as the rumors point out.

Realistically, we will only have to wait until ifa to know. they sure want z5 devices retailing before november james bond debut and asap anyway to not loose potential consumers to note, iphone, etc.
c5 ultra looks great for mid ranger. i hope they adopt this bezel-less sides to z devices as well but make it more premium(!). m5... unlikable bezels, meh, but its fine for mid ranger to be honest.

Definitely liking the minimal bezels on the C5 Ultra. I seem to recall people mentioning that the new Z series would have things like the SONY logo and NFC logo on the side, rather than the front. If so, could that be a sign that the new Z series will have minimal top and maybe bottom bezels as well?
Damn, I'm so excited at the prospect of a new Z Ultra!!!

C5 and M5 look like ridiculously value products.
Also, if the M5 has the IMX230 21MP camera with hybrid autofocus, then what will the Z5 have? I'm assuming they have an even newer sensor under wraps? But of course this is pure speculation.

I don't think we'll see a Z Ultra this year. It is frustrating not to know Sony's release cycle. Everyday we hear different rumors. But by looking at the lack of rumors about z ultra I am kind of hopeless. Then again we have the E68XX code which points a 2015 device
