when I updated this weekend SEUS FU my k750, couldt use my phone at all. But just now I removed the MS DUO card and this time the update worked

Just to confirm this, is it ok to take out my MS Duo card and try to reflash my phone, even after I have already got the communication error?
Has anyone tried this? Will reflashing after the communication error totally mess the phone up or will it work this time with the MS Duo card removed?
