I have sent a email to Sony Ericsson asking them when the new firmware will be available and telling them about all of our issues...I will post the reply here when it arrives. If they do not give me a good reply I will phone them.

Thanks man. That is not cool then, as we on Rogers Branding loose precious phone memory: however at least we can save emails/SMS/MMS to the M2 card now

I have a particular question now - I'm not sure you can answer it or if anyone can. Some background first. Rogers Wireless just launched Unlimited On-Device data for surfing for mobile phones. This K850i & the LG Shine Red model are the only 2 new models launched since this has gone official on February 8TH. This does NOT allow us to use Email, IM apps, or BT/USB Tethering - which royally sucks but hey at least I can surf unlimited. One SPECIFIC caveat is that any 3rd party apps that use the data APN (used for unlimited surfing - apn: goam.com) such as Opera Mini will result in data charges - since Rogers clearly states this on their site.
My Question is: Can a provider have the NetFront OEM browser on a SE phone (K850i uses NetFront 3.4) to send the IMEI to the network towers? ROgers also implemented IMEI check - to ensure only Rogers Wireless branded phones are allowed for unlimited data; an unlocked factory issued SE K850i or other phone not Rogers purchased will result in data charges; not eligible for unlt'd data surfing.
