Dont hold your breath. If SE announce poor video quality, the're not very likely to change it. SE have always been stubborn regarding video quality, and have always been behind because of it.

doesnt have to have the qvga screen. in time the size of the 2.3MP cam module wouldve shrunk to a size that would fit the k750 casing

i would have thought they would have enabled mp4 recording by now like the n70. Even nokia 6280 is recording in 640 by 480 VGA now. Its astonishing SE have slept on this. Still the camera additional formats in the vid player like wmv make it a nice phone to buy.
Remember with nokia you cant encode the films and stuff like you can do with SE. You can never have a prefect phone guys. Ive been waiting for that for 5
years@!!!!!

@ Arez - QVGA screen does not mean a bigger phone. SE could easily fit a QVGA screen into the same size as the current K750i screen, they'd just need to use smaller technology. I think its more likely the K800i is larger to incorporate the 3G technology and camera. The K790i will simply have more space inside the casing, and may even be possible to perform a DIY convert to turn the K790i into a K800i by replacing the front case, and adding a camera inside followed by a K800i firmware flash.
@ sasha-SE - im not sure if thats possible in the new version of Java, but if it is it would be a good idea. However, i dont think its very practical having to start up a Java app everytime you want to make a good quality video. It all sounds rather cumbersome and would probably be rather slow and clunky like most Java apps.
@ kabukijep - i dont think the K800i is the size it is because of the camera module..
@ bavlondon2 - yes it is QCIF. The K800i has the same recording resolution. As for mp4, that is the encoding format, it in no way affects the recording resolution. Mp4 and 3gp are always going to be compared, and tbh, i dont think either is that much better than the other.

To be honest this is a good phone but for me I would be happy with 2MP on the w810 as the video hasnt improved. Ok so the k800 can play wmv but that can be easliy converted to mp4

no, not just the camera module, of course. but as with the s700, the size of the camera module largely influences the design & development of the casing (as do other components: speaker modules, etc etc). Smaller modules allow the manufacturer to come up with smaller casings
