DAN, perhaps your silence may have come from experimenting too much with other drivers. To be on the safe side, I would ensure you have all the original R1BC drivers in your accoustic folder and start again. I know playing the W900 and 550 drivers resulted in lost sound for me at one stage. I have also found that playing with others drivers can lock settings.xml. If you have been playing with several different drivers I would delete settings.xml from \\tpa\\system\\multimedia\\mp as a matter of course - don't worry it does recreate when you launch the media player - back it up to be sure though.

@moon... I got not sound only from the EARSPEAKER, when making a call, I wouldn't hear the other party. Not from the loudspeaker, earphones, etc. when playing music.

Only when making a call, and it lasted about 10 minutes till I restored the original handset_0_call.apf.

Of course, that was the only one I've tried; and also it didn't work as soon as I copied it, and starting worked afterwards. So surely it was something with this driver... not with trying a lot...

@Dan
I think you could take a backup of all the acoustic files on the phone. Then download all the acoustic files in the first page of this thread to the phone after deleting all the files in the acoustic folder. I think this should set the phone right. If the handset_0_call.apf file is damaged or deleted then you don't get any sound in the earspeaker.

Hope this answers your question

@mongoose...i just tried your driver ystd. and man its LOUD like AEROSMITH lol. Earlier I couldnt quite enjoy LOUD MUSIC on my w800i. So i had to plug in the HOME SURROUND and my bro would yell at me "TURN IT OFF, ITS LOUD". Now my bro says the same thing even without the surround LoL...good work mate nTHANX...!!!

And one more thing. Is it possible to add the STEREO WIDENING feature as in the w550i??? Thanx

This is for guys who want some serious volume. Provides about 40% extra volume. Sound is still crisp and clear except at max volumes where the earphones just can't take it and it distorts. Still I'm glad it gives me full range of the volume. Megabass literally goes for a toss but if you still want it you may just lower the volume. You guys be the judge. Thanks to everyone who helped on this thread

I will try and put these values in other apf files to see if that increases other volume controls.
