Here's the comparison between Original R1CA021 5.3camdriver and the askd's 2.4camdriver

Original v5.3 Camdriver (Night Mode On)

askd's Latest v2.4 Camdriver (Night Mode On)

Note: you can spot the noise by looking at the black colour item (The Speaker) v2.4 Camdriver definately produce less noise compared to the Original v5.3 Camdriver.. last but not least, the askd's v2.4 Camdriver will stick on my phone

There isn't much of a difference between those two pictures at all. The black on the hybrid just seems darker, and probably that is why there's less noise.

And why do people take pics with night mode on in daylight? If you are that is.

the black is darker because it's more free of flaws (ie: noise, which exhibits as white spots)

So the fact it is blacker IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT. If the image was displayed at the full 1600x1200 resolution (it's shown in the window above 800x600) then the differences would slap you in the face. when an image is resized down, it eliminates some of the noise. It also eliminates detail, so simply resizing is not a good fix for noise.

The 2.4 driver may be better in low light conditions. However, it sucks in normal condtions wherein the pictures are cold and colors are lighter from the real colors. i compared it with a n91 side by side and the n91 was way better.
Quality is better especially in large sizes and the pics were saved instantly.

Can somebody post 1632x1224 photos taken in an indoor low light condition? I would like to know if you also get the white/blue lines noise.

ok... ill say that 2.4 Hybrid is better than 2.3 because of its sharpness...

sorry i cant posts my comparisons, tons to do here at my end.
but base from Quickshare's comparison regarding sharpness as to the original R1CA camdriver.... look at the word "TIGER" its clear enough to see the edges of the letters with the Hybrid as compared to the original camdriver.

and just by lookin at that.. it made me install this latest driver (2.4)!
tho i havent messin with it... it will stay on my phone for the meantime.
