hafqo i just wanted to find out if just sending the txt to 686 your chip gets registered with the gprs service or you need to go to their office and pay that 5cedis thing to get the gprs service.

You don't have to pay the 5 cedis nonsense. Just send the txt. If you don't have credit recharge and restart the phone. you'll see the gprs symbol..

guys is there any difference between 3.5G and 2G? Cos with zain and mtn, they don't differ from da others.
when u talk about data charges,zain stands tall aside that,they remain anonymous.
would u have any doubt if tiGO say they're da best network in GH.?
Can mtn and zain say da to Ghanaians?

the then spacefon(now mtn)came to GH. and da only thing they knew was selling sim cards. then came da famous hit song"the spacefon number u have dialled has not responded da mobile equip. is.........."
from a slow start,mobitel GH.(tiGO) is da fastest growing and best network in GH. I hope zain will learn from dis experience.
mtn are constantly lying about having da widest coverage which is false. people are always placing complains in da

Hahaha ! Mtn is now feeling da heat of da competition. With only 1cedi , i was able to download 5mb of data ! Equation: 1mb=20p=zain=mtn

mtn could be a lot better if they had better capacity. I like tigo for their competitive nature especially with their tariff plans but their customer service sucks. If vodafone was a little cheaper and less rigid they would be the best network in Ghana. Zain has to stabilize their network and they'll be number 1. They're the best.

I don't know which area you're in but there's a big difference between 3g and 3.5g and between 3g and 2g. 3.5g offers speeds up to 7.2mb/s. It all depends on the equipment you use. Most fons with 3.5g give up to 3.6mb/s. Which is more than enough for me. I have used both mtn and zain 3.5g and their both very fast so make sure you device is configure right. Which fon do you use?

guys i'm talking about data speed,naturally,a 3.5G network has a higher capacity. so apart from faster data speed,we should enjoy clearer call sound quality,faster call connect.,low or no call drops and quality network service. don't get it twisted guys.

@acquahdd
i agree with you. but 3g is very expensive to build so i'll give the networks up to the end of the year to make my judgment.

i use an n95. what do you use?
