the trouble with judging battery life in the first week or two of a new phone becoming available is that people (like us and who report these findings in forums) tend to use them much more as they learn and play with the features.

I've settled down a bit more to normal use (browsing/email,calls) and in the last couple of days have not fallen below half battery indication

I guess you have a point here. So it all boils down on how you use it. ohwell..

I see. can you tell me how i activate the gps please? or anyone?

Press either button just to the left or right of the 'd-pad' and select the maps option. If you select options/view/satellite info - you will see a number of horizontal bars. They are empty if the N95 can see satellites and they will be filled in black when it has locked on.

It can take upto 30 minutes to lock on to enough satellites to make it work. Apparently it should be quicker each subsequent time. Mine takes so long each time to make the sat nav almost useless

@upper

Slide your keypad down. Open the Map app. Then go to View->Satelite InfoYou should see satelites (you need at least 4 to lock on). Do NOT close satelite info view until you see some black bars. Then you are lock on. This should take 1-4min. If it dont, then re-open Map and do it again. Make sure your phone has a clear view of the sky.

4GB for N95? Anybody know if it is possible to use the new Sandisk microSDHC 4GB memory (Class2, SD2.0) for this phone?

Right im a bit confused with the GPS, how does it work? Does it use say my o2 web account? because if it does it will cost a bomb, or does it just connect to the satellite for free? and the maps how do i get them?

The GPS bit is free... however... if you are "driving" around... and the n95 does not have the detailed bit of the map... you can set it to use the GPRS download when needed...
Mine is a generic N95 with no preloaded maps...
