so, after this announcement, it's fair to say that it was a good one.

judging from pictures (closely watching the phones over a 17inch monitor) i need some sort of confirmation. especially from people who held/holding/saw the models.

for K850:
1-cam is activated by pressing the on button next to the shutter button
2-a slider key switches between cam/vid/media player
3-the circle around the cam, glows whenever cam is activated
4-circle glows (green or Blue) correspondingly
5-QVGA 3fps vid capability
6-tiny rubber made buttons beneath screen
(those were my judgement from picture viewing)

now some questions:
1-did someone mention PDF,office app ?
2-TV out ?
3-GoForce nvidia graphic chip?
4-does the blue model, have a brushed metal on the back side?
5-walkman 3.0?
6-accelerometer, ok we know that, but this means Java Platform 8 ?
7-usability and friendliness of that squarish Dpad?

so Xumdeo? thecoolsha? PeterKay ? can you please, answer us. you won't get sued now

6. yes K850 and W910 as well are JP-8, and yes some java games will use the accelerometer. look here and here

1. Don't count on it.
2. Nope.
3. Don't know, really :s
4. It's the same as the green one. Black plastic.
5. No, but something like it.
6. Yes, it has JP-8.
7. Uh, tough one. I'd say it's alright, but kinda weird when you're use to having a joystick and press the joystick (in the middle).

My view of K850

Shape is good but I really like those buttons on top of the screen on my K790i.

Pad and three soft keys (or what ever they are) sould be tested. They are interesting but being practical is total different thing, judging the videos i'm afraid that's not the case. And those sample photos....... 5M and 500KB even my K790i have the smallest about 600KB and something.

Very confusing!

Probably its one of the bugs of the beta firmware. Lets hope that they will improve it before the release.

From Mobiletoday.co.uk

"The K850i has been designed with standard compact camera features, and bears an almost identical look and feel to a compact camera.

It is also preloaded with shortcuts to blogs and social networking phenomenon, Facebook. It is due to hit the market this Christmas, expected to be between free and £50 on contracts upwards of £45 a month."

I think Vodafone is the only operator to dabble with facebook so far, (article on esato somewhere), so does this mean Vodafone will have an exclusive on one of the colours?[ This Message was edited by: goldenface on 2007-06-15 16:02 ]

Nope, Rogers Wireless Here in Canada has partnered with Facebook as well (since Toronto is the LARGEST of any location on Facebook). Well So far. But its more of an SMS notification of anyone that MSG's/posts on your wall kinda thing pretty lame really.
