Just got my w910i today, It's completely unlocked and debranded and according to the service menu it's running R1CA029 firmware. That's not the latest firmware is it?
I tried to update via SEUS this afternoon and it says it's got the latest firmware already.
Any advice on how I can get the latest update on there?
if I was you id leave it as it is

Can you tell me why you advice that? Since I've seen a lot of posts that advice having the latest firmware for this phone?

Finally got R1EA033..
No real differences found..few ones noticed..
-Cam driver is better..video recording isn't wavey now when taken fast..
-Globe appears in internet java apps now..
-No reboots at all in this one btw..actually i experienced them very rarely in all previous firmwares also..i donno how ppl experience it so much..but this one hasn't really rebooted..tried pushing it by playin music, using net, typin texts all at once..
Wat other changes you guys noticed?
Btw..cell seems to respond bit faster while playin music as compared to previous firmwares..but yet it's not satisfactory..should really have worked freely despite of playin music..

After reading this thread I'm now unsure whether I should buy this phone. I currently have a W800 (had it for 18 months and a bit) and I've just started to get problems with it such as unresponsive joystick and charging (actually its stopped charging now, I have 1% battery left!). So I've decided to get a replacement.
Now since I'm so used to having a reliable phone, I want to ask if getting a W910 is a good idea. My other option is a W890, is that a better choice?
Also, if I buy from O2, what kind of branding will I have? My W800 with Vodafone has absolutely no branding on it and I kind of like it that way.

this f**king phone.
turned it off to put it on charge last night....
and now its bricked its self. it won't plug in to charge( there is no responce ) and then whenthe usb cable goes anywhere near it the left soft key glows red.
so i cant use the update service and so i assume that i can't use the likes davinci team to pull the phone out of it.
(r1da038 t-mobile uk)
edit: forgot to say that i haven't updated or even tried since it came back from repair last. so there is no reason there for it to die.

Place a call with SE. And tell them that you have gathered 200 people who have had enough of problems with their W910i's. Tell them unless they are willing to rectify the problems, "we" are going to bring lawsuit to their front door.

Just got back from t-mobile store and when i said that my erricson was dead they instantly asked me if it was a k850. I said no and that i was a w910i to which they replied "ohh, the next best thing"... how much confidence does that give you.
however she did say that they would probably just end up giving me a brand new handset which i not gonna complain about as there is a long cosmetic scratch down the screen of the phone
But still, i had two weeks of flawless working and then it dies, lush phone when it works, but god it doesn't half go wrong.
Anyone else bricked for no apparent reason?
