i wonder how slim the new f-06a will be. Thickness isnt a problem, but it gave me the impression of the 920sh/sh905itv chinaclones. Somedays I like the yokomotion hinge, and some days I dont, guess I need to play with one in person to decide, that means finding a cheap f905i, but I do like the f-01a a lot more

I tried flipping around and I prefer the yokomotion hinge more than cycloid... the reason is because it's more stiff... like when you flip your phone, it's not like the screen is loose or anything unlike sharp ones.

Trying to get away from Death-Note?

getting away from him haha, I mostly lurk, here, and read. A few of the other forums that have jphone I read are death-note free,

Did the yokomotion hinge you tried, scratch the body of the phone? The 920sh/923sh design sometimes scratched the under part, I noticed this when I saw the turn marks on my 920sh. But I think mine might be like that b/c its an earlier production 920sh, as ionnukes 920sh has a larger gap between the two pieces, he said his felt stiffer too

I have this really crazy feeling of buying an older NEC off the old att wireless or an s710a, Jphone like feel with 850 and ultra old yet qvga

But I did trade my so905ics (again) for an n905i on hofo, but i got an offer to get an sh906i and someone else I know wants to buy it. Really a tough choice. I like the NEC panasonic ui a lot, and media features, which doesnt seem to be covered much on the nec, is actually really top notch, with full out options on the audio. But the sh906i, what tempts me the most is the 850 3g and getting it working for the extra coverage in my area. With the panasonic/nec OS it allows IR transfers of many files like swf, pdf, etc. THe symbian based docomos seem to have some IR file restrictions, so905ics was a pain to get swf, that I had to use datalink, since IR didnt work. Ionnuke on hofo mentioned the sh905i his friend has did the same thing

I'm not a fan of the SH906i. I hate the stupid back hinge... and I have no idea why they would design the phone with that kind of hinge: it makes the phone too heavy at the end. I don't like the keypad too.

I didn't pay attention to the scratching... since I don't have a F905i or F906i. But then you can't really see if it scratches can you? It's not like the Sharp ones where you can see it... Fujitsu yokomotions pivot and rotate on one point, where as the Sharp ones rotate and move in the centre, which is why you see the scratch marks.

NEC N-02A has been software unlocked, does not require any hardware SIM card stuck-ons

the new cycloid (932sh) from Sharp is a lot stronger than the old ones, but not as fixated as fujitsu's yokomotion

You should know something about it... how does it work? I don't think it requires CPR does it?

Question to all:
Would you guys want a new section for Japanese Keitais?

Yes I have... it's by Sony Ericsson though it really doesn't look like any SE keitai.
