We do like the phone.. and possibly we will buy one ! But this phone will cost over 600 euros... so we have to think-look-discuss everything that has to do with it especially about the things that seem not ok to us.... like the screen! If you don't watch movies/clips ... if you think multitouch is only for browsing intenet... and if you dont use it like a toy too (play games) then may be you don't need the 1ghz cpu as we do... You can get the speed you that you want with a less expensive phone! My first touchscreen phone was p800 6.5 years before .. whats yours ????So please...

OK, but are you thinking if you wrote 100 times that the screen of X10 is bad, with only 65k colors it will going to be with 16mil at lunch? No. Are you thinking SE will integrated multitouch if they don`t plan to do that, just because 100 people around here complain with that? No. So, what`s the point? Really, tell me. It`s just that our expectation raise a lot in months of rumors and then at the announcement almost everybody feel disappointed.
What I do with my phones is my business, and I`m with Ericsson from 1996... My first touchscreen phone was also P800, almost half a year before it came to my country, but that doesn`t mean anything.

I don`t watch movies on my phone, because I have TV for that...
I use browser and not playing with the zoom...
Yes, I don't need compass because I keep one in my left pocket, I don't need GPS because I have it in my car, I don't need 3G because I have a PC, I don't need camera because I have a SLR. Hell, I don't need the phone either because there are telephone boots all over the place.

sealover94 i understand and respect most of your posts but i do feel that you're simply posting nonesense now to hit the 500 posts mark. 485 with only 15 to go.
Anyway looking at those pictures i see no evidence personally of the screen being of poor contrast. All screens look dodgy till you see them in the flesh with the human eye. It could just be the screen just does not look good when photographed but perfectly fine when using it. Or, it could just be everyone being far too anal and over analysing it too much. I cant see SE releasing a phone with mid to high end specs like the X10 with such a poor screen as everyone seems to be worrying about.

Nothing really new in this thread. colors blablabla multitouch blablaba .1.6 not 2.0? blablabla. THIS IS A PROTOTYPE!!! with an alpha version of the UI. We don't know how will be the final product, and how it will evolve after its release. I agree with you OfflineR it was too early to reveal the phone. they should have learn from HTC announcements and leak specs+ pictures one month before the release, not 8months...That's what I call a "souffle": we all have had high expectations and when we saw the product for the first time it doesn't work well (deja vu? same scheme with x1 announcement). SE guys are not even able to give the correct specs. Amateurism?? Even the videos with the product presentation, th UX interface etc have a sound problem. That's definitively not a professional attitude.

What is going on inside SE?? 3 different types of TFT?? Still tesing them or what ?
I don't know how many colors and what kind of tft they will use... but the one used in these protos is deffinetly NOT 256k colors... (no vivid colors.. it is obvious.. Stop blaming me, the light,the photographer,the reflection, your pc screen ...
)

I really like the fact that an FM-radio is included (well very probably at least). Could anyone confirm the DLNA-support or is that something that depends on Android? Also, how about video streaming over the network?

@xenia htc hd2 has 65k b.c of winmo and the og spec sheet having to do with memory alloc. it was a design choice by windows, which is adhered to today, but the devices themselves can handle it now, they just dont.
so no one complains b.c its winmo 6.x, this will be taken care of in 7 of course.
however, i think that seal has a point, if the defense is that this is a proto/alpha device wouldnt it be prudent to speak up now? i think seal should choose a more productive venue, such as the developers blogs and twitters or what have you, but his point though extreme is still valid. if the price is going to be a premium and we all already know it is, then why not demand the most for you money. the ppl that know about the phone are the ones who are going to buy it outright when it comes out, regardless of carrier subsidy. so it would make sense to provide value. which in his opinion includes a higher bit color. the compass not being present is a huge turnoff for me right now, and multitouch is another point of contention for yet another set, (even having been addressed that it WILL be at some point (only because of android 2 however, which we should be able to load from day one anyway)). all in all the phone seemingly incomplete, the public is voicing some shortfalls that could be cleared up upon launch, the problem is, even if those of us with complaints are heard, would we know, and would they adapt?
those complaining that the screen is fine, go buy a J132, the screen is fine on that phone to. the point is that for a flagship, it seems a bit short handed. a multimedia flagship means that its leading the way in functionality and reproduction. i hope the memory isnt an issue either, some of these photos that bider put up show it at 97%+ i dont know whats running but man ...
