No it is not
or do you automatically assume that because S5 is not made by Sony it must be way worst? Have you even tried to use phones not made by Sony?
Anyway Del I think that both S5 and Z3 are very similar. In my opinion where Z3 clearly wins is in terms of looks and the fact that it has stereo front speakers .
If you like the Z3 you should get it but just remember that hardware wise it is almost identical to s5 (cpu , gpu etc) and that next year in March phones with better hardware will definitely be launched

@aussieland1 hehe thats always the problem isn't it, new phones coming out, I loved my Z1 but because of the BT bug and it wouldn't work with the sony stereo in my car
I'm in my car all day for my job, I had to sell it and get something else so i got the S5, great phone but i do miss an Xperia
I think I'll think some more about it before jumping in but so far I do love the look of the Z3

Due the battery life alone, Z3 is much better than S5 and others. Personally, real usage, Xperia's smartphone has longer battery life on single charge. Z3 and Z3C improve even more on this.

Yes I did.
Samsungs are just disgusting to be honest.
I hate the aestetics, the overall experience is blah.
All of the people I know having S4 and S5 are often complaining about the lag.
I don't think everything else is cr.p, I think some WP devices perform very well as well.

My brother using the Z2 at the moment. The battery isn't better than the S5. It should be, cause it has over 400mAh more... but anyway it can't beat S5 battery. They are almost same, but not better. This all GSMarena battery tests are not clear.
And according to GSMarena the batterylife of Z2 is better than Z3... So Z3 has no chance vs S5.
And I also read here in the other Z3 Compact Forum that the batterylife of the two Compacts are similar. I wanna confirm that! There you see what GSMarena test are...

Z2 Stereospeakers arent louder than the S5 speaker. Z2 sounds a bit better, but S5 is more powerful.
According to GSMarena, Z2 speakers are louder than Z3.

It is amazing how you call names anyone that is saying anything bad of Sony but you don't have any problems calling Samsung "disgusting " and "crap" sounds lik double standards to me.
I am pretty sure you would find lag in both Sony and Samsung if you are looking for it. And when I said tried th phone I meant actually owning it for a long time not playing with one because it is not the same thing
@ Del if you can afford it get yourself one - z3 is a lovely phone you can't go wrong with it . As a previous post said the new UI looks better too due to larger icons, all in all it looks like a very polished product

No, I didn't base my judgement on GSMarena, in fact I don't agree with all the stamina test done by the web. It is purely my experience with Z1 compared with several friends using ip4, ip4s and samsung S4. We travel a lot and I always troll my friends whenever they use powerbank to support their phones and this happen quite frequently.
To my surprise, I'm using my phone more than them i.e using the camera(I take a lot of photos), always `ON' setting for wifi/3G, bluetooth (because I use smartwatch), GPS, NFC and auto brightness display. However, I use stamina mode. Every time my friends take out their powerbank to power their phone I will laugh at them and will always tell them that I hate powerbank.
So, based on that, and looking at the excellent battery usage reported by several people on Z3 and Z3C, I assume that Z3 and Z3C will have the best battery usage.
I'm still extremely happy with my Z1 but planning to get Z3C.

Hmm. I can say it here, there is one thing - I am NOT visiting Samsung's forums to tell people how bad I think
about their beloved devices. Yet there are people here who come and bash Sony's products where most of the people here are fans and enjoy it. I don't come to Apple forums to tell people how sh..tty iPhone is. This is the difference.
And I agree, I can be wrong too and some Sony products are far off the top as well, but I still think S5 and Z3 are in a different leagues, I still think Samsung is producing toys for adults, yesterday I was just playing with a new Samsung Tablet and it was like a toy... Just for me, it's my personal opinion. Sorry for OT.
