@DarkKrypt

Thanks bro, I didn't ask them as some of you guys may already know.. but I'm not in a hurry ATM to go ask them.. the phone still not launched yet to be in a hurry

If all things go right, I might get two premiums, Chrome and Gold, for me and my wife... the only thing my wife is worried about is lack of accessories in local stores... we usually have a lot of Apple/Samsung covers/screen protectors... so I might order few covers for her as she loves to have a cover...

Ordered my dual Sim Chrome variant just now from a seemingly reputable seller on taobao.

They say 5th November to be dispatched.

Excited does not come close.

price? I see a lot of dual sim model going on sales/preorder. They are priced the same as all the regular so I thought about getting it, then many people from XDA told me Dual sims model always have horrible software support.

@Gitaroo

True, sadly...

Compared to Single SIM, Dual SIM will need to wait for software updates longer ( by 1 - 2 months ), and also will get less developers love than single SIM...

One of the main reasons I think is that Dual SIM is not available in US, so Sony does not priorities it even though it's still a flagship device...

Wondering why Sony make these small differences require a different ROM including testing and validation... if it was only a matter of Single and Dual SIM then why not just make single ROM which can be used on both ? Sony started to consolidate the ROM's to speed up the development and update, but this Dual SIM problem is what will stop me from having it...

The problem is that I think the first patches we have will be Dual SIM only so the only option will be to order it without contract which I can't at this time specially that I'll have two, not just one...

I believe its the same with most OEMs, I know even with Samsung, single SIM get priority. Really sucks.

Dual SIM should be standard by now.

yeah, if they are charging the same price, why not just release dual sim model only and only update 1 version.

5188RMB =~ £518

I believe dual-SIM is not preferable to network operators. I can only speak of the UK and China but in the UK operators combine selling cut priced single SIM devices, long contracts and locked handsets all in an attempt to keep your business and make it 'hard work' to change networks.

Conversely, in China, number porting to other networks is not done at all (blocked by the government), some networks signal is patchy where other networks are strong and vice versa, and networks can run on different frequencies to each other. This adds up to a thriving dual-SIM market.

These are some reasons why Sony have to keep both variants active.

From a user perspective, on a Sony dual-SIM phone if you only ever use one SIM (in the UK most people will only have one) you still get an extra SIM icon in the notification area, the dialer still offers a choice of two SIMs to call from, messaging is the same etc. This becomes an unnecessary hassle to make an extra touch when calling. Maybe it's a weak excuse but it's the kind of thing fruit shop lovers eat up.

Ok spotted something strange
Check out the bezel from pocket now

http://m.pocketnow.com/images[....]sony-xperia-z5-premium-780.jpg

And now from stuff TV
http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/si[....]itok=Khe-VrGh×tamp=1441188247

Even compare it with other sites the bezel is a different size? Isn't it?

Could it be just compression of the image

From Sony site
http://lotus.se-mc.com/image/[....]8a7ce9fbd4.jpg?wid=2200&qlt=45

Even check it the Sony site

http://www.sonymobile.com/au/products/phones/xperia-z5-premium/

And where it says "Introducing the world’s first 4K smartphone*" behind it is the photo with the person good the xz5p. It's the same image from pocket now

Edit again :
Ok if you compare the same photo from pocket now to the Sony site same photo it is different probably from image compression .
But the still different from stuff TV and other sites or just tired and not seeing well

first one is obviously fake video slap on of the the screen and whoever that edited the video did a bad job and over scale the screen size.
