Judgment day is upon us! I see michelin have done the decent things and page they'll refund the fans who went to indy! They've also bought 20k tickets for next years race for them. This message was posted from a Z600

Michelin have no liability to the spectators or the FIA, but they do to the teams and I bet that they are hoping that if the fans are happy, then no damage has been done to the US franchise and the teams will have a defense against the charge of 'Bringing the Sport into Disrepute'. If the teams suffer, then it could it could have major reprocussions for Michelin especially concerning supply of tyres for O/E fitment. Remember this involves BMW, Mercedes, Renault, Honda and Toyota. Together they sell about 10 million cars a year...

Still, nice of them to make an offer!

Hahaha Really! I didn't know that. Serves them right too!

I see on BBC World that the 7 team managers have emerged from the hearing and that a decision is due within the next few hours...

News Flash! The 7 teams have been found GUILTY on two charges including Bringing the Sport into Disrepute and NOT GUILTY on three others. The sentence will be announced 14th Sept!

Ha! I knew they'd have trouble with finding an appropriate sentence.

Oh, and the teams threatening boycotts if they don't like their punishment should be doubly punished. This message was posted from a Z600

@peeta
Just been on www.bbc.com reading the F1 related stories and you may be right after all...

The teams won't stand for any serious penalties; some like McLaren are already planning a future without F1... All teams except Ferrari are looking into the viability of a 'Grand Prix World Championship' alternative to F1.
I thought today would be interesting.
September 14 could decide the future of F1... Period!
