I thought it'll take time for other manufacturer's to catch up with SE's W800 walkman phone but after reading the features of Samsung's SGH-i300(announced at CEBIT) my opinion changed.
Check out these features:
Contains a 3 GB hard drive for storing a vast amount of data(capable of storing up to 1,000 music files)
Supports 3D sounds through its stereo speakers( in addition to a digital audio out connector)
Bluetooth Stereo
Media player that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+,WMA,WMV,Ogg Vorbis,MPEG4, H.263 and H.264 video formats
(240×320) 262K color screen
1.3 megapixel camera
supports external memory (TransFlash)
NOW this is da mobile music machine!!! Worth waiting for.

But will it ever see a release date ? theres quite a few phones that have been announced in the past that have massive specs, yet none of them ever get released. Strange though, that Samsungs new phone uses Windows and only 1.3mp when every other company seems to be stepping up to 2.0mp this year.

This will be, as many others, by next phone. Of course if SE doesn´t lose it´s head and overprice it, I am looking for 500 usd (crosses fingers).

Further questioning whether it would be possible the W800's 512mb MSDP would only support music files, does anyone reckon this theory might actually happen ? if you look at the MSDP that is packaged with the W800 (also notice the standard in-ear headphones, not the large ones) you'll see the MSDP is coloured orange - as if its a special Walkman only MSDP stick. So, maybe it does only support music files ?
Also, could anyone explain what the icon is over the battery meter in this pictures ?

etaab, i dunno about the MSD but i think the icon over the battery is a 'charging' indicator.
