When you ring 100, go to the cancellations dept -- the others won't offer deals. Say you've seen a better deal/are being cold called and state the deal. I used the following:

Orange (student)
200 min, 1000 txt, £22.50 for 12 months (It's really £15 for 6 and £30 for the last 6, but it works out as £22.50 -- so it is a legitimate deal.)

That 750/750 offpeak for 18 month contract isn't really worth it. The normal 750/750 18m is £25, so you should be able to get it for less.

For the guy with the Orange deal, I just upgraded to a K800i with 200 min (anytime/network) 900 texts for £15 for 12 months. That's pretty much the same deal, but for less. I had to pay £70 for the phone, but it still works out at £20 per month. Considering I paid £30 for 200/500 on O2 300, I got a great deal.

I'll probably hang around for longer than 12 months if I can stand the K800i's hunchback -- or simply pay the contract off if SE release a better phone after 6/7 months.

hi i want that contract you lot are going on about the 500 mins 500 texts with o2 that contract would be brilliant but i only realy need 100mins and 200texts do you recon 02 would do that for £10 with or with out a handset also would you tell me how to get that contract and the phone number

i tend to do some dodgy dealings with the o2 shop...

orange normally offer some silly silly deal and o2 will match it
