@ brix,
Unfortunately, yes. There is a growing number of eBay sellers who are reluctant to post to African destinations, particularly due to scammers using Western Union and Bidpay.
I still post these links for two reasons:
1. to use as a reference for you guys to see what we pay here if bargain hunting,
2. and more importantly, with the amount of SA citizens here in the UK,for you guys to perhaps find out about friends/connections currently here who could snap up the odd fantastic bargain or two for you (and hopefully take it back to SA for you, nestled in their luggage,) using the links and details provided.
Knowledge is power,yes?

@Kidd: I guess s60 means series 60 smartphones. The pre-installed apps + games usually occupy about 35% of the mem card. That leaves you with 65% user mem plus ofcourse internal mem which varies from 5 to 24 MB. That should meet most users' requirement, and there is still the option of buying a larger capacity mmc card for heavy users.

@all: Anyone here using a windows mobile smartphone?

300-odd km later, and the Kryptik One has arrived in Haarlem. A week of peace awaits... Signal strength on both MTN and Vodacom, perfecto!!! @Kid, will pm you later once i'm settled in re- S60 apps, etc. Heavily engaged in checking the electrical connections and getting the wood-stove fired up :-) Heavenly... @Kid, to my mind the "must have" S60 apps are FileMan and AppMan, both from www.symbianware.com, as well as F-secure Anti-Virus from http://www.f-secure.com. Screenshot from http://www.antonypranata.com/screenshot is also very useful.

Good sites to visit are http://wap.psiloc.com http://wap.my-symbian.com http://wapain.net http://www.geocities.com/waptext/ http://s60.sytes.net and of course the s60 forum at Prodigits, where running a search using the prefix http:// will yield umpteen links.

@the krypsta: Enjoy the break from the noisy kids and the general stress of city life.

BTW, where is Haarlem? The only Haarlem I know is a city in Nederland and the ship which eventually lead to whitie ganing a foothold on the Southern tip of Africa.

Thanx boet, i've been looking forward to this for quite some time.

Haarlem is about 1hour equidistant from George, Knysna and Oudtshoorn, all accessible via different routes, most noteworthy amongst them the Prince Alfred's Pass. It's at the foot of the Kammanassie Mountain Range, and consists nearly exclusively of farmland.

Speaking of our lighter-hued brethren, it's largely due to a Scottish ancestor marrying a Khoi great-grandmother, now many times removed, that this property has been in the family for time immemorial. I'd rather hoped the bugger would've left a note explaining where the Kruger millions are hidden
