Waiting for a cheque from a buyer... that's a common enough ebay experience (unfortunately).

Ebay just invoice me at the end of the month. I use turbo Lister with automatic uploads enabled. Bit pissed off cos they've changed the reserve option. The minimum amount that you can put on as a reserve is £50 per item. I gotta list these cd's without a reserve. If nobody uses the buy it now button I wont get what I want for them

You can choose your starting price.

Yeah but it works out better to start with a low price so it climbs up quicker to your reserve. Now for items under £50 in value you cant put a reserve on them. Also sellers can't place a surcharge for buyers using Paypal to pay for items.

I thought the reserve floor was £50? And refuse to take PayPal... I think Nochex is better for sellers and buyers.

You used to be able to put a reserve amount anywhere between £1 to however high you wanted.
I'm registered with Nochex as well as Paypal.
Have been selling on Ebay for over 1 1/2 years now.

I used to sell a bit, too. I don't now as I begrudge paying eBay anything! I don't think reserves are that effective - people either want to buy or they don't.

True, but its always been there so that a value can be set as a minimum amount a seller would let the item go for. Putting the minimum amount up to no less than £50 is daft.
I dont sell on Ebay as much as I used to. There was a time I would be going through 200 listings a week. But I've now got other commitments. I'm also registered as a seller with Amazon.

But you can still set your starting price. I think the old reserve price was over-used and abused.
