Not me on this one too. Ive had 7 k850i and this one is as bad as all the others. Sorry to say but this is the first time since the t68i i wont be getting a sony phone. I cant fault the sony ui but phone wise every thing lets it down, altho the ui still crashes. Im also not a slide person too and i manage to play with the c905 at my local shop. All tho it was a dummy one it wasnt for me. So im of to lg. Yep there i said it. Didnt think i would ever say it but kc910 is for me. Im lucky to have been using a viewty for a couple of weeks and have to say its amazing. Ok the ui still isnt as polished as the sony ui but any video, pic or music thrown at it works with out any fuss. You can swap from portrait to landscape with out probs watching vids it never lags and has never crashed once yet. I cant say the same for the k850. It still cant play basic vids with out a lag, its still crashing and its slow. And why can the c905 still only record in crap qvga mode. People may disagree with me but im sorry to say that the c905 has nothing exciting or new in phone wise to any other se phones. Yes it has a bigger cam and wifi etc. But so does most other makes too and do lots of it better now.

The LG Renoir has a pretty good Xenon flash actually.
I'm not sure about this one either. I love the
UI, but other phones offer so much more for the same money. The i8510 captures better details, but suffers from a poor flash. But that's all it suffers. The rest of the phone is pretty awesome.
And I'd be interested to try the LG as it has had quite a lot of improvements since Viewty (though again I have my reservations about the lack of after sales support from LG)
After the sham that was the K850i I don't want to jump in straight away like I did last time and get bit. I think I'll wait and see how it behaves.
Even then, I still think I'd be torn. It's so hard a choice to make! I love
but they're just not innovative enough anymore.

Maybe when the C905 drops the price i would by one, for now it cost 569 euros here in Portugal

I read somewhere, i think it was on mobil.se, that the Renoir's flash was weak.
There just isn't a "complete" mobile out there...yet! But i bet you there will be one next year! (Well there will nerver be a mobile that has it all but i hope you know what i'm talking about here)

neither is s60 for that matter. They are both user interfaces that sit on top of the OS. Symbian in the case of s60 and OSE in the case of A200
Although I agree with you most of the times,I have to make a slight correction here. It is a wide misconception (especially among journalists and 'general' internet users regarding S60 and symbian. If the term 'leaves' means to you something als then the usually green things in the trees,then you should have not made the above statement regarding s60. S60 is a symbian 'flavour' and not 'something' on top of symbian. Unlike other symbian 'implementation' companies,nokia took a bit of a different road. ('S' in front of the 60 means nothing als then symbian) Nokia did not just write a interface on top of the 'standard' symbian,but decided to make their own flavor. Yes they knew by doing that any compatibility with the original standard wil be lost but they (correctly) assumed, the different flavour will sell so much and in pm doing, will becoming a platform/standard in its own right ! Actually they went a step further and customized the os even more,so much so that the flavours are not even compatible among each other ! While there are different levels within the os itself,they can not function independently. They are one system ! This is good for speed and reliability,bad for interoperability and system upgrades. Did you know that s60 is not even compatible between its own versions? (althou applications can be ported with different degrees of difficulty)

I rather over simplified the situation I admit but "symbian" is the OS, not s60. Yes s60 is deaply embedded into the OS, but the core functions of the OS are Symbian. For example I doubt s60 is directly responsible for movement of data in and out of the CPU registers.
I agree heartily your statements about interoperability, though I expect the version of OSE that underpins A100 would not run A200. But I don't know that for sure, just a speculation. I also don't think you could take A200 and "drop" it on top of another manufacturers implementation of OSE.
