Interesting that ZOMG notes the C6906 for USA (and by extension Canada) won't have any of the lesser quality panels. Makes me excited! Just a few more days until the Z1 launches in Canada. Gonna get my arse to a Sony store ASAP to check it out.
That is an assumption since the C6906 is being produced at a different production line than C6902 and C9603.
He is basically confirming what my source told me several weeks ago. Sony is reusing the Z/ZL panels for Z1.

Z1 third on GSMArena 6 phones comparison.
I would of said the Z1 was 2nd from what i saw and read. Lumia 1020 1st. However the 1020 takes like 4 second to process each photo. while my Z1 can take like 150 photos in 4 second, it also looks better than the 1020

i didn't look at the whole shootout but from their conclusion, it seems they picked the note 3 over the Z1 for its video recording (no doubt cause of the 4K) and the fact that it has better features? (no idea what that even means cause i didn't read the whole thing).
kinda funny though since we've all seen the video of the note 3 lagging while playing a 4K video while the Z1 breezes through it like a champ.
oh well. #3 isn't bad.. at least it beat the iphone! ha

yeah, someone from xda also contacted Sony, and Sony replied that the earlier batch that resued Z/ZL screen were recalled and the stocks out now use the same screen. It was bs of course be their reply admit that they reused panels and do aware that people hate it.

the review does show that the software in z1 is seriously lacking for a supposedly best android camera phone to be honest. ZOMG said that the software were still behind before the phone were even announced is telling us something. They seriously need to work on the image compression algorithm, the updates for the z post launch shows some promising results but the software that was launched with the z1 was rather disappointing to me with same horrible oil painting compression. Its only advantage now is down sampling from 20MP. Low light performance is lacking too compare to the others. The note 3 that was lagging with the 4K video playback was the international exynos model, which doesn't support 4K video recording or playback. I am not sure if it require a s800 at 2.3 GHz soc for 4k video encoding though now that I think about it.

Hi guys, what is you build number?
This is a video from the docomo launch event, the build number is: 14.1.H.0.542.
Any chance that it comes with a better camera software?

Edit: also, don't you think the pinch and tap zoom and drag lags for a snapdragon 800?

As a shout out! Do not create an account with SEN under a different country code than your own so you may redeem the codes that the Xperia Privilege app gave you because that account is region locked! If you decide to start downloading your movies using your Z1, it will not allow you to connect to your media because of the region lock. Of course, if you're okay with downloading only on the computer, than that's fine. Stupid Sony and their dumb region lock.....
Edit:
Think it might be region locked on the computer too........
Still making sure of it.
