@Angel: Messenger has never worked on my T610, I can't even access my mails on hotmail, some requirement for Javascript issues.
There are four time slots on intercellular. I've actually used it before, but then its service became epileptic and I dropped it. I used a friend's Intercellular data service, and was quite impressed with it.
6am - 9am N4,000 monthly
9am - 6pm N10,000 monthly
6pm - 12midnight N5,000 monthly
12midnight - 6am N4,000 monthly
24hr access N14,000 monthly
Pay for 3 months 24hr access (N42,000) and get the set for free.

@amby, does intercellular have the mobile handset like Aya's starcomm or deskset only?
i'm considering the PTO & need the best & most reliable for internet..
i just might be saying bye bye to gsm technology....

Yes they do, but I don't know what the price is. On the other hand, you could get any hand held set of your choice from elsewhere and they'll program it for you for use on their network.

How come no one uses Mtel GPRS? Its worth exploring, guess I'll pop into one of their shops.
Anyone know where any of their shops are located?

@All CDMA enthusiasts: do consider Reltel's plan: 24/7 = 15,000; 8am - 8pm = 10,000; 8pm - 8am = 5,000. Connection & browsing is fast ie using my pda phone O! l don't know if it's the same for PC/modem users. @Mamba: the 2285 is also available in Reltel but just as in Starcomms you can't use the phone's default minibrowser to surf the net. @AYA: Do consider getting a small budget GSM/GPRS smartphone for 'mobile browsing'; if you remember my complaint last week I'm still struggling to clock 2,000 monthly because I never use gprs in the office or at home; strictly on the road...if I must. And it's quite handy when temporarily out of Lagos...I read your posts while in abuja for most of yesterday. @MB: l truly didn't mean to scare you away...pls come back. @Angel: Agreed, the T610 is still to me the 'best designed' phone but you realy should have gone for the k300i as AYA recommended because it beats the T610 in every other area...my opinion. @Ihe: Hmmm. Much noise...30th will determine. @amby: no stray cat tonite? [ This Message was edited by: brym! on 2005-09-22 01:25 ]

You have a point there. A good point too. An extra N2,000 monthly for the road probably wouldnt hurt my pocket...
Of course, my choice would be Glo, naturally

I'll check out the available smartphones. Maybe I'll go back to the P800

or get one of the "junior" series 60s....

@ihe, "glo fixed"
is there anything like that?
i think we need MB around to explain what glo fixed is, if there's any such thing as that.
Hmm, reltel 8pm to 8am for 5k, that's exactly what i need, quite affordable for ml.. i'll try to get more info about the reltel plan, or anyone using it around?
@all, where's MB?
Let's prepare a search party...
@Angle, you woulda gone for the k300 at the same price with t610 as brym said, the t610 is quite oldskool now, still a good choice though..
@ihe, 30th is fast approaching
