Hi
I don't know anything about programmation on WinMo, but with SE panels SDK released, does it mean the panels could be ported on other WM phones?

I think the panels are a great idea, but not for technical reasons. The whole concept of a panel is very catchy and consumer friendly. Download panels, buy panels, make your own panels, quickly access a panel, etc. Yes, shorcuts and app launchers aren't new, but there is no community surrounding them like SE is doing with X-panels.
SE has taken a smart step and went further than just providing a great piece of hardware in the X1. They are trying to create an ecosystem like Apple has created for it's products. This ecosystem is what endears a lot of customers that aren't die-hard smartphone geeks (complement
). The ecosystem creates an appeal that is greater than any one of it's particular products. So having a panel developing community and the PlayNow service goes a long way to adding value to what is essentially just another WM phone. This out-of-box added value should give SE a slight edge in appeal to mainstream consumers. Whether they will be successful or not, only time will tell--but I think SE is on the right track with the panel concept.

I believe that a number of people here will be surprised at the numbers this phone will sell.
I move around a lot of Forums (Fora?), and wherever i see this phone discussed, there seems to be a high level of interest.
I hear arguments like "People wont pay the price", erm, i-phone, anyone?
I believe if you build it, they will come.

Maybe one is the 128MB model and the other 256MB. Or one has accelerometer, the other doesn't. One is the Song Live, the other the real X1. Heck, I'm just guessing

No problem. Get the Touch Pro and for the next 2 years of your contract you can call me and I tell you how amazing is the Xperia.

i proudly laugh @ xperia ..
im still a big fan of sony ericsson but as a matter of fact.. SE has disappointed me..
they need to work on their delays
