New iPhone and the pixel are also rumored to have matte backs. Considering it was Xperia who started the matte finish with frosted glass, it's good to hear they aren't late to another design trend.

I have seen some press photos of a new xperia, not sure what model it is, but it is almost identical to the renders from earlier this year. see below

The real phone has a more matte finish than the shiny one seen in the render. The back panel does lack the FPS and it appears to be on the side now. It also features 3 cameras like the xperia 1, but from the photos I could not tell if the 3 cams were the same as the 1 or different, but they are in the same place as the render. And yes just like the render, the bottom speaker grill is now on the bottom of the device, no longer on the screen.

Have you seen the photo of other device announced at IFA, such as Xperia 20?
Also, did you get to see the actual device name of "xperia 2"?
Also, any color information?

While I can only confirm for 100% the black colour, in one photo I did see what looked to be a dark blue but it could have been black with the lighting playing tricks o make it more blue than black.
I have not seen the name of the device so I can't say which one it is for 100%, they were press photos, so nothing was written to identify the model. I have not seen any other phone, but I did not see all the press photos.

Those who pay directly or indirectly (indirectly = purchasing DXO's software) get the good results.
Pathetic to point that certain youtubers are more reliable than DXO.

And we always wonder why xperia phones score always appears late and low score, whereas Samsung and iPhone scores updated come released super shortly after they launch the sales of the phones. Exceptionally fi$hy and $u$piciou$ huh ~

That's odd. I remember the XZ1 being released with 8.0.
