^ I knew about that - in fact it was one of the premier devices that supported it.

OK I've jumped in the deep end so now show me just how deep this rabit hole goes!

A+ Traded iPhone 4 16GB for Xperia Arc Midnight Blue
Screen is INCREDIBLE with first impressions - nothing loaded, VERY fast system transitions.

1. I've downloaded SE PC Companion 2.01.210 Web.
- other than a local sync (can it with Outlook 2010 32bit?) what does this do?
- is there an OSX Snow Leopard/Lion compatible version? (yes I use Mac at home, Win7 at work).

2. I have Android 2.3.3 - is this the latest & greatest? If not is this THE most stable version for Arc?

3. I've Setup WLAN. Can I search or host media ON/TO the PS3 Slim that I have?

4. Same as #3 but Can I do this with Mac OS X and Win7 64-bit? How - I'm sure I can figure this out just trying to get a jump start as a have a LONG & Busy week ahead of me.

5. Internal Space shows 280MB Free. Should I be worried and what is THIS used for? (I'm guessing its like BlackBerry where apps are stored on local/internal RAM as Storage for system API access)

6. Quick Text Settings: which option is best for word corrections in Emails/Application text entry vs short-hand SMS L33t speak?

7. OMFG Man! Application Settings shows a whole boat load of junk running in "Running Services". I have no freakin clue WHAT this junk is ... I almost want to kill everything instinctively. This is where the simplicity of iPhone rules (I don't know what is core system but the system knows what process should run by default and doesn't need to tell me). What is normal and what is NOT?

I've answered the ones I know...

1. It's basically a home hub allowing you to do everything, so gives you options to sync your data, update the software etc.

2. Yes and yes, 2.3.4 is due out sometime soon

5. You can save apps on the memory card so you can installed unlimited apps, though not all are supported for this. There is an app which helps show you which ones can be moved, found on the android market

7. A lot of this stuff doesn't really affect the phone when running in the background, though some things slow it down, in the settingsit also tells you how much memory the applications are each using. There is an app called advanced task killer, which helps you kills apps with one click. Having this option may seen complicated but at least Android gives you this option - iOS is so restricted and basic, for a smartphone operating system is a joke.

I got the new update! I'll try and put a detailed account of what's changed:

-xLOUD has been added allowing for louder and clearer audio
-You can shoot in stereo sound
-You can now change the theme of the background colour in the different menus like settings etc.
-The icons in camera mode now rotate when in portrait though interestingly not in video mode.
-Mediascape widget has been updated, icons moved
-The little dots telling you what screen you're on have been changed
-The pinch to zoom feature of apps now makes the widgets hover around and reacts to the phone being shaken
-You can now delete apps from the app menu
-New unlock sound
-Cool CRT effect when locking the screen
-A whole load of apps have been added
Anything missed?

One thing I don't get is the rotating home screen which was promised with this update? Other then that some pretty nice features added

I was prompted about new software availability. It has to be done with SEUS and not OTA. Will check it out later. UK generic, in Sweden.
