@blackspot, thanks for sharing the joy! Kid's have no reservations, it's a wonderfull thing.

@marlonski, your daughters are too beautiful to have inherited their looks from you But then maybe that orange beard is throwing my judgement off

you've really got me going with those panorama shot's. Still haven't found a big group to panorama, but was experimenting on my Dad this morning.

I made a mistake (the second picture) which gave me an idea. The third is the result:

And here I am framed - looks like I belong there dunnit?

The person who is not a victim of poverty has a subconscious that works this way: It makes him ogle with admiration those whose socio-economic status is above him or at least equal to him; and it makes him ignore, in varying degrees, those whom he would consider living in subhuman conditions, reducing them to a faceless mass of living rags.

I chose to photograph these "sidewalk sitters" at night. I doubt if they could be more recognizable to most of us in daytime.

Here they are engaged in the most ordinary human activities: Exchanging stories, at the bridge; passing the time alone; and the mother, making her baby sleep.

I got a chance to do some group shots. A friends gallery opening.

and an interesting street:

@Chili that's an interesting technique you've used to portray the facelessness of the homeless to society - one thing I noticed was that while looking at it, I was actually curious about the detail - what were they doing, what they looked like. So the technique enhances by obscuring.

@max_w yes mate, i think my girls get their looks from their mother ! like the first set of pan shots, not sure you should be looking sooo happy behind those bars though mate

Second set of pan shots at the gallery very good mate as is the street ;

@ciber, nice sunset shot mate !

@chil, interesting shots, did you touch up with noisware software ?

Couple taken earlier this evening....was walking and caught this tree and had to take a few shots, one coloured, one b&w and a pan.

I had a look at both of these in my noiseware software but decided not to do anything as it just took too much detail out.

pan shot.....

and last but not least pip the 'gitmyster' looking like a right knobjockey

@marlonski, quite right about the noiseware - I'm impressed with it for many uses, but often a picture just can't be de-noised without losing significant detail.

The tree. very original. You're obviously good at thinking outside the box - I'd never even thought to do a vertical pan. Ideal for those huge old trees, captures the magnificance and the detail. Usually to get the whole tree on a non-pan shot you'd have to stand so far away the detail is lost..

@dr_thug, missed that somehow. Waterfalls are another great use of panorama mode.

The only problem I see with panorama vertical is the different exposure from top to bottom - maybe that can be allowed for by changing the exposure for each frame?

A good enough excuse to go experiment with some vertical's..
