Wow, your pics are amazing!

@marlonski, that b&w pic of the tree looks very enchanting.

@chilli, again your photojournalistic skills are unmatched so far!

@max, I'm amazed you were able to get that much detail of the moon with a binocular-turned-monocular thingy Did you use a tripod? I'm sure you can get a clearer image with a tripod. Also the lens-flare looks rather artistic IMO.

It's been all cloudy the past days so I couldn't get any astrophotos for you.

COCK FIGHT.its a betting game in rural India.more famous in south east asian countries(wat say chilli??).at night, usually people sit around the fight smoking and drinking and betting.the cocks r made to drink alcohol and sharp long nail is tied to their legs to injure the other cock.the fight goes on till 1 of the cocks die.this here is a painting depicting the cock fight.

@dr_thug, your panoramic pic looks so seamless - well done! I always get a bad stitching or color mismatch when I do panoramic shots.

Cockfighting is very popular here too. I don't know how you do it in India but here, the cocks are specially bred for fighting and are very tough ones. During the fight a special thin knife that looks like a reversed-blade samurai sword for lilliputians is attached to one of their legs in place of that special large natural nail that grows on roosters. They are then released in a fenced area with a very skilled handler inside and they fight like ninjas. The fight ends when one of them doesn't attack anymore or is totally disabled. Usually they end up dead. Cock-fighting is an obsession for a lot of rich people in fact some play by hundred-thousands bid or even millions.

Anyway, here's a closer look at the moon, I used 80x magnification this time.

The weather still is not so good here. Hope it clears up soon.

@Blackspot thanks man

@DeLA, thanks also man, agree, this thread is a pleasure to visit !!

Here's mine today, nothing special, just some nice scenery.
The outskirts of my town, about a mile from the centre and where i live.
The first couple of shots were both taken one after the other
The only difference is the light setting,
(volume button to anyone that doesn't already know) on the second picture.

This is looking onto the field (black and white picture),
with my town in the background.

@blackspot - Thanks for the very informative reply to dr_thug about cockfighting in our country. Very graphic, and I could hardly have explained it better myself.

@DeLa, @marlonski - Here's to at least another entertaining year for this thread. Superior camera phones be damned.
