Let them stop it. . . Will just find another way. They make enough money from me without me paying for wap too.

Yea. . . I just cant see why we need to put up with this. Yes we are one of the cheapest countries in the world with wap. . . So what. Our call rates are still through the roof

Why you guys bitchin bout the prices, we only have around 25mill cellphone users where as places like india have 50 mill+ subscribers thats why their prices are half of ours....

Apologies to Tahir and co for starting this nonsense...I happily pay for GPRS...not that it leaves much of a hole in my pocket.
I got the hack from the Krypster and will try it out later today with my new Cell C sim.
Anyone know if Vodacom's EDGE network is enbled yet..I'm picking up the M4410 from the WirelessMonkey later this evening and wanted to test the data speeds.

Sorry for the change of subject.Which cell would you prefer, assuming money is not much of a issue N91 , N80 , 3250 ? I know all of them are S60 , but given the choise I prefer the 'smaller' evil. (the bigger one been microsoft's mobile os)

i agree with Brix, i'm sure all of us don't mind paying for wap, since it IS relatively inexpensive. I make very good use of my better half's sim since she prefers remaining on Voda whilst her top-up contract is on MTN, so moi gets to use her monthly R75 for wap, which is far more than i could use, even with the occasional download.
Popped into a coupla cellshops en route to breakfast. At the Pick 'n' Pay centre the MTN store is offering the 3230 @ R129/month, while the 6600 is going for R49/month. The CellShack (Voda) a few doors down is offering a far greater variety, including the 6630 on PAYG. The saleschappie wasn't sure of the price though.
Reception here is brilliant, as Mr.Smith correctly stated. En route to the Caves soon, will check what the tourists are using...

@the krypsta: I'm not sure if you're doing this from your phone but I couldn't read that last post...dunno if you were playing around with HTML.
Had to highlight over the "black" so I could see it.
