I think of ebay 'authorities' much like the mods here..... they may or may not see things but they will usually respond to users complaints.... dodgy auctions are frequently reported.

Ebay seems to have a scala of different ways of dealing though... from bidding outrageously high on any 'mock auctions' to taking it down altogether

Ebay must nothing. Ebay is HUGE and if you've ever been through their complaint process (email form after email form) you will know that the chance of a real person actually reading something and several messages on the same subject with the same reference number actually getting matched together are slim, to say the very least.

I am not at the very least surprised that scammers get to play on Ebay for long periods of time.

My opinion is that Ebay's checking of auctions seems somewhat random. Those pyramid-scheme-like auctions for example all pass the mark.... even though they are barely legal.

eBAY has gone rather large lately they even have big publicity here mentions on radio 1 that celebs use it :-) even the tv now aswell.. I think they should do something of those pyrimid schemes even forums ban them ;-) This message was posted from a T68i
