Don't think I have that problem with my W810i. Maybe a branding issue?

Hi everyone. I am trying to update my friend's W810. The update service picks up the phone as EUROPE 2. It starts to update but in less than a minute it goes back to the start screen. I have tried many times and the same result.
Her phone keeps freezing as it has the release firmware. Can someone recommended a remedy?
P.S. I am in Jamaica and don't have a credit card/paypal account to use that Watonserver website.

I upgraded my UK Orange branded W810i to R4DB005 yesterday, which was very exciting as I've never done that before!
I'm just wondering what's new or different in this SW version from my previous on which was R4CF002?
I forgot to make a note of things before I upgraded the SW but I think Walkman music is now Orange Music and there is a new icon in the menu for Orange Downloads which tries to sell you stuff like ringtones and games.
Other than that, I can't see anything different!
Anyone know?

Now, when I receive a call from someone who has a picture contact in my phone, all I get is an empty space where the picture contact and caller ID should be, and their pic only appears when I answer the call! So, now, there's no Caller ID at all for any call from a pic-contact!
ALso, when making a call to someone with a pic contact, I get an empty space again while it's connecting, rather than their number and the usual graphics!
This is not good!

This is what I eventually got back:
"With regards to your enquiry, this issue is not a common fault on the Sony
Ericsson W810i with R4DB005 software installed.
Please try removing the picture from the contact and reapplying it.
If this does not solve the issue, please try a master reset of your handset to
help rectify the issue (information below) or Update your handset again using
the Sony Ericsson Update Service."
I've tried the remove/reapply picture and re-updating to no avail. Don't really fancy the
master reset as the hassle of setting it all up again seems greater than the loss of
the contact picture...

I don't get that. It works fine for me with that firmware.
Anyone knows if PC Suite MUST be installed when upgradeing firmware? Read that somewhere but it sounds unnecessary...

Only the 2 mpix photos because they are a little bigger. But it was the same with the earlier firmware for me.
