How do you know which has better build and battery? The OmniaHD and N97 both have 1500mAh batteries, but thats all we know, we dont know about batt life, unless have you used them all before? The reviews are based on protos so far remember.
Samsung don't last well on their battery's, I suspect that the N97 will be better. As for build, it's a top end N series which means metal and very strong build, the 5800 is a plastic brick but the N97 will be like a block of granite and I suspect much better then the Omnia.
The main fault with the Omnia is its screen, yes the colours look better etc but you cant read it in sunlight! So what's the point, is it not a MOBILE phone? I appreciate OLED tech, but having non TFT screens before it is so unbelievably frustrating to not be able to see the damn screen I don't know why they bother. Don't launch the tech if it's no usable for the purpose as it's a waste of time I say.
The Idou has a screen you can see in the daylight, it'll be TFT. Plus the Idou's size is much better then the Omnia, it may be a bit thicker but it won't feel like a slate slab in your pocket either. It will be interesting to see the screen SE have made for it given their very strong reputation in this area.

Lol,il wait until ive actualy playd with them before making any opinions on how they should feel. Ye im pretty sure the Idou will have a brilliant screen so will N97 im sure after seeing the 5800's, but SEs displays tend to be brighter sharper.

That's the best way to judge, try for yourself. But yes, I just don't understand the screen tech. AMOLED looks very interesting, but why can't they wait until it's properly developed and readable in daylight before launching it? is it that hard? Then again the iPhone can't do much and people love that so......
I can't wait for June and the new video recording of the iPhone if launched, I am so looking forward to laughing my ass of at the Apple fans treating it like the most amazing new invention ever LOL.
I certainly don't think we will see anything higher then 12.1 mpx now though! Optical zoom would be nice in a device that isn't a brick.

Dont get me started on the iPhone, the more i play with my father's one the more boring it gets, its just got a nice UI, but some of us want more than that, these 3-4 phones (Idou, OmniaHD and N97 and even 5800xm) are the perfect answer for those of us who want a multimedia without losing the basics.
so anymore reviews of Idou? Or any mention of it getting a 3.5mm jack

This is SE we're talking about

they don't believe in 3.5 mm jacks LOL. The headphones in the promo vid's, are they bluetooth ones? I was just wondering if SE will include BT headphones with the Idou?
Music on the phone isn't my thing though, I have an iPod nano and only use it for the car, don't seem to listen to music on headphones.
The best video I've seen is this one:

Doesn't seem to be anything new since Febuary.

From PhoneArena.com's Omnia HD review:
"Just as expected, the screen delivers beautiful, saturated colors albeit in artificial lighting only. Unfortunately, you can hardly see any details on the screen if you take the phone outdoors in bright sunlight, especially if you happen to forget to wipe the fingerprint-smudged surface clean."

Also, there are reviews of couple of phone that have OLED display on GSM Arena and almost in each review the display visibilty in sunlight has been rated poor... So it seems that though OLED diplays have better picture quality than a TFT LCD, they are not yet advanced enough to show a visible display in sunglight...

if thats gonna be the starting price, it's ok. Still i wouldn't give more than 700$ for it.. Let's hope that SE will break the ice with the price too (since it only costs max 200-300$ to produce 1 unit, or maybe even less).
