Ignore my above post. Although the RoadSync version number hasn't changed Google Calender does now work.

[BA(44) + 26-4(I, O, P, R) = CA(66)]

Well, I didn'd perform a very exact match, so you're probably right, but it's still incorrect, since actually, it's I,O,P,R,R,U and V that are omitted. Also note that there are no zeroes like in numeric increments, so AZ increments to BA without any kind of "B0" in between. Considering this, BB would equal 36 and CA 52. (You can read about it in this link. Actually, I was also wrong about what I mentioned about replacing Symbian with Android. That wouldn't be possible by changing the major version number. It would require a whole new product number.)

But that was not my point, and not very interesting, since the only thing needed is an incrementing comparable series where you immediately can see which value is the bigger. I was merely trying to explain the logics in the version numbering and pointing out the difference in versions between the two releases.

Speed has improved a bit, no doubt.

The phone has also responded to everything I've done without any delay - so this is a big bonus. Out at a Xmas party and taking a lot of photos, showing a YouTube video and checking the World Cup groups - and all went without any issue.

So that's a definite improvement.

Can't comment on battery life - but my main problem was that something could kill the battery in a matter of hours, when it wasn't technically doing or running anything. I will need a few days to see if this still happens.

I am interested to see if RoadSync now works with Google. That will be a definite bonus!

No downsides for the new firmware as yet - so even if they're just bug fixes, I'll be happy to have this over Christmas and any further update will just be icing on the cake.

(I'll revise this statement if I find any major problems in the coming days!)

jmcomms or anyone - Can you check if photo uploading to the Picasa web still works ? Since the update mines stopped working. When doing 'send to web', I can create new album from the Satio but doesn't go on to that next step of posting the photo into the new album or existing album. I've checked that the album gets created via a normal web gui.

I can attest to this issue. Sometimes my phone will be running great battery life and when I'm having a busy day, not checking my phone at all, there is suddenly a surge in battery power, it will have gone from 85-90% to 20-25% and I haven't even done anything. Things like this pisses me off, even with a possibility of some apps being opened and bluetooth being on, this is unacceptable.

I'm going to figure out the firmware update right now and determine if my phone has changed at all. Hey, if it freezes only once a day, I'll be happy...

I'm in US and when I try to search for updates, I get a system error, anybody else getting this?

BTW, I'm curious and want to ask the US Satio users, do you find AT&T or TMobile is better when it comes to 3g web surfing?

is this the same for everyone?

Some stuff fixed: When you want to zoom in, either in taking photo or viewing them when listening song, it will now zoom in instead of lowering the volume.
