I have no idea why GSM Arena says the viewing angles are poor. They are the best I seen on all the new Xperia's as it's right up against the glass & is very readable from all sides & clear. One thing I have noticed about the camera. When taking photos indoors using auto white balance & flash it comes out really yellow
White balance settings for auto are poor

Had a look at the Xperia minis today in CPW. They are both very nice phones with very nice screens. I prefered the mini, its slightly more compact and lighter than the pro being only a fraction bigger than the x10 mini. The salesman said I could have it for £119 if I had my current o2 simcard, I thought that was an amazing price!

They were most probably comparing it against the Amoleds of Samsung

I would be interested to know if anybody here has noticed this issue too. I am really keen on getting a Mini Pro to replace my X8, but not if there are going to be problems with it...

Nope. The noise is there during video recording but it's not from the screen at all. I have heard no noise from my screen and I just checked too. The noise during video is not very loud really does not bother me

If it's buzzing, it's more likely from the continuous auto-focus. The proximity of the mic to the mechanical lens assembly would allow it to pick up structure-borne noise.
