Dropped mine once and the having the
Bumper on it seemed to prevent that
I kinda like the glass look, the iPhone 4
Seemed more of a fingerprint problem
But the 4S doesn't seem to get as bad
As that one ... Odd
I agree on the bumper protection, seems to weight the phone some how to tend to fall on the bumpers edges. a flat drop keeps the glass away from flat surface falls. Last night I dropped my iPhone 5 naked. screen survived without a scratch (screen protector also) but 2/3 edges have the aluminum scuffed or dented
Warranty swap in a few weeks. Going for Black this time with a bumper and considering Android again for a few more months until BB10 debuts (see what they have). Unless my son gets an iPhone for christmas ... I may just go back to the iPhone 4S.

Perhaps it would be better you opting for a 4S again,
that iPhone 5 would be a right pain (worrying about marks etc)
I really hope Apple change this shoddy material in the 5S
I really enjoy using myphone still cannot fault it after a year now

Apple did the same poor materials with the last generation of iPod touch. I had a 32 gig one and the build quality was awful. The screen had loads of light leakage around the edges and you could see through the glue. The new ones are better so I read

The built quality is really good actually... they just f'up the anodizing on it.
the 808 without a case, and the iphone with a case, fit in the same car stand.. The 5 is really thin.

The 808 looks like a nicer phone due to the 5 needing the bumper.
Im not a big fan of armour plating phones when actually using them.

I thought that and then thought if he took the pictures with the opposing phone, no wonder the 808 looks so pretty. The iPhone 5 makes pictures look warmer than they are where if he took the picture of the 5 with the 808 is looks cooler and more natural.
Or maybe it just looks like a nice screen.

P.S: Apple IPhone 5... Remains Biggest And The Best Reference In Picture With 8 MP, But When The Subject Is Video 920 PureView LITE Is The Absolute King !!!

The screen on the 808 performs better in certain conditions... the 5 has better calibrated color reproduction, and its also better for reading text due to the higher DPI. The 808 is better under direct sunlight, and therefore its better for outside photography.. its almost as if Nokia made the screen with the camera in mind.
In terms of design.. very subjective.. I would say the iphone 5 is better looking, but the 808 feels better in hand, which is strange since its plastic, but the iPhone 5 has those sharp edges... its not as pleasant to hold, the 808 is better thought out in terms of ergonomics, despite the "hump".
Either way, I will take the 808 over the 5 any day, for me its the better smartphone.
Satnav in action and a panorama from the foxconn product.. very nice
