No my phone isnt. But then I didnt buy it to be so.
In regards to the market as a whole, its not really a USP, I can think of other examples of water, dust or shock proof. Such as the Samsung X cover or the Motorola Defy line up.
But well done, its a definite positive for the Z if not unique.

@ randomuser - three million what exactly ? People reading the links or watching the videos ? Then I must be one of them because I usually watch all videos and read all articles. As do many other people. So what proportion of those people will actually buy the phone and more importantly keep it ?
Sorry but I was just trying to defend you.
Anyways, I'm not that huge fan of neither Samsung or Xperia Z (Sony in general) since I think Samsung is much more forward and has the ability to reach out to people, especially those who might be on the verge of buying an iPhone.

So what makes you say Sony's business plan is wrong ? Are you an analyst ? Do you have an info on how many Z/ZL have been ordered by carriers and how many carriers want these phones ? Or have you conducted a survey on how many people want to buy it? Or a sales forecast ?
Don't think you hide your true intention of posting in this thread - to bash Z. If you were neutral you would accept the fact that the Z is the first TRUE flagship from Sony/Sony Ericsson since............ well I think almost a decade.
And really ? Z has no USP ? Don't make people laugh.

No, because I dont need to. You've missed the point again. If we were to do that, we would see such evidence that the phone will be popular but nowhere near as much as a Galaxy S / iPhone / WP. Shipping numbers mean very little compared to actual sales which we will only see when the phone has been released for a minimum of around one month.
Why do you think posts on this very site get more discussion when they're about sales. Samsung recently announced they shipped 100 million Galaxy S devices. But thats not 100 milloon sold. Its industry jargon.
What makes me able to say Sony are wrong ? My opinion based on Sonys poor performance in the mobile division. The whole point of the forum is to talk and discuss our opinions.
Sadly everyone in this thread is missing that key point. If we were to just chat about what we like and did not criticise these companies they would release poor quality devices that arent worth the money. But thankfully we do care which is why we discuss them. Or not in the case of the abusers.
