Well there are no night shots there. I'd still say that the Renoir i a dark horse at best...pitty because i would like to have a touch display phone.
Oh i also read that the GPS only works with google maps but that reamins to be confirmed i think.

As I said, it is only a preview, but that video quality blew me away. I had a Viewty, and didn't like it for a few reasons. But if they have been resolved in the Renoir, it is very tempting.

I love , but sometimes just wish for a change.

Hmm i can't say i'm that impressed by those pics except that flash one.
Hmm i'm a litte worried when i think about the comparision with some of the dalight shots that was made with the innov8 and the C905. The innov8 shots where sharper/more detailed..hope it will sort itself out!

I've got R1BA034 on my C905. I must say the first thing that struck me on the camera is the light sensor (ala K850i) is easily covered if you take a photo in portrait mode (well, depending on how you hold it). If you do slightly cover it, you'll make the flash fire incorrectly and end up with a black photo!

It's fine for landscape photos though, but I don't think the photos I am getting (in daylight) are as good as the Samsung i8510.

The other niggly thing for me is the silly lanyard hook, which I keep rubbing with my little finger - and it feels sharp enough to cut you!

I also got the W902 (and an X1) today so I'm very torn as to which one I want to use day-to-day. I think the X1 automatically loses because it's Windows Mobile, but I think the W902 is actually the nicer looking phone - especially with the music control buttons. It's just the inferior camera, flash and no Wi-Fi that's making the decision so difficult!! Oh, and my W902 has a dead pixel on the display.

I'll try and upload some photos from the C905 again soon (having originally posted the very early ones in June).

Sorry but what is a "lanyard hook"?
So, as i fear, is there a lack of detail in shots made with auto settings in daylight compared to the innov8?

@fullforce!

It's the hook, or two holes where the wrist strap or a lanyard is threaded.

Ah! Thank you! I suspected as much. I "fathom" hehe Hmm and consider myself farly good at english..well well

I'm not happy alltoghether with the C905 but i see no other real alternative if you want a new "gooder" camphone with a proper flash. (yes i believe that the Renoir flash is to weak)

I simply believe the sensor on the i8510 is superior. Images are sharper when viewed at 100%, but the C905 still has many advantages. An excellent UI (with a few menu alterations and tweaks over even other new phones like the W595 and W902), a bright Xenon flash (as against the LED on the i8510) and a very good media player.

I couldn't get a fix with GPS tonight, but I must say that I think it holds a signal better than the other models I've used of late. The i8510 is a bit dodgy in this area, so it's really not that clear cut when comparing all of these different 8-megapixel models.

You really have to prioritise what is most important to you. I think the camera on the C905 will not necessarily take the best pics if you're comparing - but in the real world, you'll be perfectly happy with them. The camera has many more features too, like smart contrast, best pic etc.

Video? Well, yes, the C905 isn't good here. Pure and simple. The i8510 is vastly superior, and also has two different slow motion modes that is good fun to play with.

And, as for the lanyard hook, or 'eye'. I wish it was just two holes where you threaded a strap/lanyard through. It's the fact it's a bit of metal sticking out that annoys me! It's badly positioned!

I will search for detailed photos of the C905, but where is the hook positioned?

Being lazy ! Sorry....
