come on people, try and relax and hold your horses, the firmware is being released for all regions but we know as allways it takes a couple of weeks to get all regions finished and uploaded. And even longer for the branded ones.
Why are you spamming S//E with mails etc. when we allready know its on the way. Once one region is up its only a matter of time before the rest follows. As allways when new firmwares are released.
It will be ready for Belgium and all other regions when it has passed operator approvals and are done being uploaded to SEUS, not a second sooner or later. Spamming S//E with hatemails, or bombing the server with updatetries every third second doesnt help at all.
Sorry Numb, but when people r paying 450 € for a phone you can expect SE to deliver a product that works the way it should. Releasing firmwares that make the phone work worse doesn't make it any better. Releasing firmwares for some parts of the world either. If SE is a customer friendly company they should at least give some info to there users like the releasedates of a firmware, the changes they made etc. Last firmware was on 10/10. How long r we to wait before some of the annoyances r gone? A week, a month, 2 months? If SE had the info on the site I wouldn't have to mail them.

you are naturally right in everything you say, and I fully agree with you, and in any other situation I would not argue to be patient.
Its just at this particular moment in time we do know that a new firmware has been made, and we do know that it is being released and uploaded for all regions at the fastest speed it possibly can. It takes a litle time to get the new firmware approved for all regions and by all the operators, and get it uploaded, but as soon as a region is ready it will get uploaded, and usually this process takes some days. Alternatively they could wait and not upload a single firmware untill all regions and all branded versions were ready, then take down the server a day or 2 and put everything on it at the same time. The only thing we would gain by this is that everyone would have to wait longer. By uploading as soon as a firmware is ready even if just for one region, we atleast are made aware that now its happening and firmwares are on the way. So atleast in this period of time when this is happening, I think its only fair to let them work in peace and finish this job. Once done, and we all have gotten the new firmware and tested it, we can start nagging on them again if needed

O.K. Here's my stupid question. I'm in Australia with a W800i which I believe is EU_2. But I'm not sure as one part indicates EU_1 and the other indicates EU_2. My F/W is as follows:
R1NA005
prgCXC1250092_EU_1_C
A R1NA005
LCD SW 0
Camera 4.5
Customization
CDA 102425/32 R3A
cxc1250093 R1NA005
Europe_2
Anyway, the phone has some customised icons for Optus Australia. i.e. Instead of the MORE icon on the main screen I have an Optus Zoo Icon that takes me to the internet. I'm assuming that means it is a 'branded' phone. I know the phone is not locked. I really want the new F/W as I find it really hard to hear people through the ear piece. The USB MS Duo prob also really gets to me. Could someone confidently answer the following:
1) What region is my phone in?
2) Is it "branded"?
3) Will my phone update to the new F/W when released to my region? or;
4) Will I have to wait until the F/W is 1st released to my region and then to my CDA?
5) Do they update the CDA with each Firmware?
6) Can anyone in Australia comment on far behind we were with the last updates?

2) Is it "branded"? Yes, it is. Any modification to the original software is a "brandization"

4) Will I have to wait until the F/W is 1st released to my region and then to my CDA?
3&4: You have to wait until the FW will be adapted to your brand.
5) Do they update the CDA with each Firmware? No.
6) Can anyone in Australia comment on far behind we were with the last updates? Sorry, I can't answer to this one cause I do not live in Australia.
I hope I've been useful to you.
Have a nice day,
Anger.

Would be great if I could get my Swedish back on my phone.
It's been flashed to R1AA008 successfully, but it seems the only way to get languages back is a hard Master Reset, something I don't want to do...
Oh well.
EDIT: Master Reset solved that.
