Complete Changelog!

Along with performance and stability tweaks / improvements, here’s a changelog detailing the main fixes and inclusions:

For Xperia Z1, we’ve…

tweaked the camera algorithm for even better all round performance
refined Sony’s Smart Social Camera platform, so Xperia Camera apps run more smoothly (particularly Burst Mode, Superior Auto, AR Effect and Sweep Panorama…)
For Xperia Z Ultra, we’ve…

optimized touchscreen sensitivity, for both finger gestures and writing / sketching with pencils, metal pens and selected styluses
And then across both products, we’ve…

re-calibrated the display ever so slightly, to ensure viewing experiences remain bright & bold
economised power consumption for longer battery life
streamlined Exchange connection for faster email sync, display and download
*As usual, timing & availability may vary by market & carrier

Ps: Aurelio the face that Sony had a public announcement in their blog means that this update is something!!! I do not know if this is the Mysterious BIG camera update... But surely it will bring enhancements:)
Really looking forward to your pics!!!
Also, really happy for the second position gained on the last review posted!:P even before Nokia 1020 (still if you read the review it's placed fifth in the still category! Let's see how much it grow with this upgrade!!)

hah.

i was just thinking i should take some tripod photos of the same objects under the same conditions in order to get a good comparison after the update.

funny how that review ranks the Z1 #2 but #5 for photo stills? I guess it's an average between stills and video (which it was the highest for smartphone devices apparently) that gives it the overall ranking. I am surprised that it would rank so low though.. shame these reviews aren't re-done after camera updates like the one rolling out now.

I thought GSM arena normally does retake pictures after FW update.

^ GSMarena only do that for Apple and Samsung smartphones I cant recall them doing any second review of a Sony product after a firmware update alone

In the lack of better comparison (old vs new fw):

Is this BIONZ update some were talking about?

Cheers,

I've got my Z1 through a carrier, Vodafone NZ. Would I have to wait for them to send the update or will this come directly through sony
