@marlonski - Nice vanity plates, mate!
*****
Southern Metro Manila, aboard a jeepney. Unknown couple, in love and oblivious.
Espana Street, Manila. 8:30 p.m. A balut vendor; a vendor of cigarettes, candy, and newspapers; and a pedestrian waiting for public transport.

Malate, Manila, around 9 a.m. Tricycle drivers. In each area, as defined by a fixed starting point and destination ("terminals") consisting of a few kilometers, tricycles belong to and are bound by the rules of a formal driver-and-operator association.
The girl had been intently watching the old man as he was making his phone call.

I have to say that to be accused of being a pedophile by simply taking a photo of a child is quite a strange idea in the Philippines. I feel sad about the fact that Britons can't even take pictures of children in school sports days and plays. Here, if such pictures aren't taken, we feel that we missed an opportunity to preserve a special moment.
I understand that your society/government has taken the extra step to protect your children. It makes me very happy that we have not found the need for such prohibitions.
i think perhaps there isnt such a great need for this kind of over-protection, and the whole paedophilia issue has been blown out of proportion by the media in this country. I know that obviously this stuff happens, and it should be stopped, but I don't think it happens on such a large scale that no children should ever be photographed. It seems a bit ridiculous to me.
Anyway..
