prototype, yes
design subject to change yes
big changes--> not common practice

if the screen is really more squared, what resolution do you think it should be, 352x288?????!!

the frame is mirrored at certain stage of development (design trial and error), and Nokia didn't invent that (sounds familiar?). that's the reason why I didn't dismiss the earlier so-called N71-esque pics completely. They got 3 things right: the color scheme, the mirrored frame and the flash UI. of course that could still be another SE flip phone, or really the N71

I realized that the Chinese to english translation is a lot more readable than those german-english french-english translations, there might a higher proportion of the language that can be translated word by word and still make sense. kudos

@xumdeo

Well CIF is slightly better than QVGA so thats a plus.

I can't help thinking that this is K750i sized but a lot thinner and no-where near as big as an M600i. The proportions confusing (to me anyway).

I think they'll either jump to WQVGA or VGA (WVGA/VGA+), not CIF in between; saves their trouble in matching up with Operator's content and backward support for fullscreen JAVA.. the 3rd party developers would be merrier too.

who makes CIF screens? Philips and who else? nobody?
who makes QVGA screens? everybody
who makes WQVGA screens? 4 manufacturers
who makes WVGA screens? 2 and increasing

I doubt it would be WQVGA. That would be too wide.

a UIQ3.1 in a K model !!!
the K series is growing up, great strategy for the coming years.

anyways, i am pretty sure, the final design will incorporate some changes. more metal, a bit different keypad...

looks pretty promising...

So does that mean the K800 can be considered a smartphone and that Nokia fanboys wont have a leg to stand on in regards to "K*** is just good for pictures and not for being a smartphone"?

goldenface:
you're right it's not WQVGA on this phone, what i was trying to say was that it is unlikely for SE to opt for CIF, and if they're ever moving up in terms of resolution they'll either head towards WQVGA or even higher WVGA

which is again, unlikely this Spring
