@mamba: no I haven't received the mms, or could it be because I'm browsing with it?

Looks like mamba and amby kept the niteshift going tonight
@amby: I have put GloGPRS aside. For me, it nowserves as backup internet access only, for those situations where the unexpected happens with my primary access, and for when I am on the go.

Yeah Aya, that CDMA switch you made seems to be working out well for you. I think it also makes a lot of financial sense. Especially as you do not travel very often.
But then, you'll have to continue monthly access payments on your glo line, An expensive back up system I'd say.

@amby: N1,750 a month for a backup system is extremely cost-effective,if you will ask any IT administrator.
What it also means is that should there be trouble (temporary breakdown or whatever) with Starcomms, I have something to fall back on
instantly. Its called redundancy or something. But no administrator wants to be caught pants-down with a system or network failure.
Besides, when I have to go out, it comes in handy with the P900. Glo will definitely still make some money from me. But its sure going to be waaaaaay smaller than what they've been getting off me since february or so. And my total Internet access costs will still be waaaaaay lower than what it has been the last few months

@AYA, seems ur guyz at glo didn't do enough viability studies before arriving at these prices and download limitation of theirs, or maybe perhaps they r targeting sub-urbans where th'ns like cdma' aint available. Imagine d 37mb u downloaded on ur first day with starcomms, lets say it was glo, u'ld hav already exhausted two times ur monthly payment compared to cdma.
@Amby, pls wn dt mms of mamba finally comes thru, pls forward to 08033481537. Wld really appreciate it.

@Aya: How come I forgot you are a system administrator who make a bundle from the web:-) N1,750 shouldn't bother you.
@Bennie: I've received and downloaded it, but haven't been able to get it to work.
@Mamba: I agree with you on the Vmobile GPRS offering. Please lets have the mms configurations as soon as you unravel them.
The operamini does not open, probably because I haven't been able to assign a gprs profile for java downloads. I use a T610 not K700i. Where do I find the settings for java?
