The NFC issue I remember happening to an earlier update on either the Z or ZU - I can't remember how to fix it though, I definitely remember something like this happening before - could have been my imagination though lol

a possible fix for this is making sure NFC is turned off or on before you do the update - don't know which it is so those that have done the update was NFC on or off beforehand

updates are made for "product codes" (regions, countries, network variant). So if update is available (published on company's server) for your product code, it will show either in phone update (OTA) or once connected to PC.
Companies usually release those updates in "waves", that why some people wait longer than the others. Then, there are also locked phones (locked for specific network) where network provider has to approve update before it's released.

Xperia z and z1 were having almost same identical display exactly same colours
But z ultra was as always superior the best among them
So in india also there are some xperia z1 which are having lottery?
